This comfortable adirondack chair hasn’t changed much over the years. I’ve beefed up a few parts and reshaped the legs and arm rests in subtle ways, but it’s still the same basic design I made in 2001, only stronger.

It’s a nice blend of cypress, stainless steel screws and waterproof glue. Two ergonomic features stand out: (1) good lower back support and (2) a seat height that doesn’t make it difficult to get out of the chair. So it’s comfortable to sit in and easy to get out of. Plus, the front legs and backrest supports are laminated for extra strength and durability.

Legrest

Every adirondack chair is happier with a legrest, and ours is no exception. This one’s got a little arch in the back stretcher (the side you see when sitting in our chair) that picks up the shape of the arch in the front rail of the chair.

This good-looking little legrest will make your time in your chair even more enjoyable and relaxing.
