No. 3 Pagoda Bonsai Plant Stand

This is another in a new series of designs that use the basic three-plane joint (where two rails and a stile intersect to form a simple, strong connection). The joint is an integral part of this asymmetrical, multi-tiered outdoor plant stand. (I also use the three-plane joint in the No. 1 Bonsai Stand.)

While the stand makes a great display for bonsai, it can be used to display just about anything you can imagine: sweet potato plants, trophies, and teddy bears.

Made of cypress, the decks are glued and screwed together. The vertical frame is joined to the decks with stainless steel screws. Some assembly is required. A square-drive screwdriver is included upon request. A recent order is pictured here.

The stand is about 12″ wide by 24″ high by 35″ long.
